The funeral for Joyce Ann Steuck, of Donnelly, Minnesota will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Lutheran Church in Morris, with Reverend Paul Erdal officiating. Visitation will be on Monday at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris from 5 to 7 p.m. with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. and Tuesday, one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at the Summit Cemetery, Morris

Joyce Ann Rustan, daughter of Bernard and Lizeta (Culver) Rustan was born on July 2, 1935, on the family farm south of New England, North Dakota. She was baptized at the Rainy Butte Lutheran Church near New England. The family moved to Oregon for five years before returning to North Dakota. Joyce attended country school at DeSart, before graduating from New England High School in 1954. She then attended Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, receiving her B.A. in Psychology in 1958. Joyce was very proud that she worked several jobs to pay her own way through college. After her schooling, Joyce worked at the Mental Hospital in Jamestown, North Dakota and at an orphanage. She later moved to Minneapolis and worked at a post office.

Joyce was united in marriage to Dwayne Steuck on September 1, 1970 at Rainy Butte Lutheran Church near New England. The couple made their home and farmed near Donnelly, Minnesota. Dwayne died on September 11, 1997. Joyce continued to live near Donnelly until four days before her death when she entered the Barrett Care Center in Barrett, Minnesota.

She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Morris. She loved music and enjoyed dancing. Joyce will always be remembered for being a hard worker and her frugal life style.

Joyce died on Monday, August 18, 2014 at the Barrett Care Center in Barrett. She was 79 years old.

She is survived by: two brothers, Vern Rustan, Brigham, UT and Ivan Rustan, Dickinson, ND; a very special friend, Steve Fults, Donnelly, MN; one brother-in-law, David Frank, New England, ND; 10 nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and nephews. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and one sister, Cindy Frank.

Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
