Julian Anthony Schultz, son of John and
Kathryn
(Ludwig) Schultz, was born April 29, 1917 in
Spike worked on the Alaskan
Alcan
Highway from 1942 to 1943 then enlisted in the United States Navy. He served his country during WWII until 1946 when he received an honorable discharge. He returned to Morris and began his career as an agent for Northwestern National Life Insurance Company and Illinois Mutual Insurance Company. His wife Gayle died September 6th, 1958.
On July 15, 1961 he was united in marriage to Betty McNally at St. Mary’s Cathedral in
Spike was a member of Assumption Catholic Church, Morris American Legion, VFW, 9-F Sportsman's Club and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, antique collecting, gardening, cooking and watching the Minnesota Twins. In Spike’s life there was no greater joy than celebrating with his family and friends.

) of DeWitt, Iowa; 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wives: Gayle and Betty; one infant daughter: Mary Lee; two sons: Tom and David; his parents; two sisters:

Bullard; and two brothers: Lee Schultz and Myron “Bud” Schultz.
