June Riemer

October 26, 1917 — September 4, 2006

June Pearl Hollenbeck, daughter of Bert and Hanna (Pederson) Hollenbeck, was born October 26, 1917 in Morris, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith. She received her schooling in Morris, where she graduated from Morris High School in 1935. She continued her education at the West Central School of Agriculture in Morris, where she was enrolled in a business course. Following her schooling, she worked for Northwestern Bell in Morris and later transferred to Seattle, Washington and San Francisco, California with the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph until 1947. On May 22, 1947, he was united in marriage to Vern Riemer in Morris. The couple made their home in Morris, where June worked for Northwestern Bell. Vern died on April 4, 1971. June continued to work for NW Bell until 1978, when she retired. She has remained in Morris until the time of her death.



June was a member of First Lutheran Church in Morris. She was also a member of the American Legion and VFW Auxiliaries. She liked to do some traveling, play cards and bingo and go to the casinos.



June died on Monday, September 4, 2006 at her home in Morris, having lived to reach the age of 88 years.



She is survived by her bother-in-laws and sister-in-laws: Bernice Riemer of Morris, Al (Lorraine) Riemer of Willmar, Larry (Annette) Riemer of Victorville, CA, Florence Bieser of San Clemente, CA, Deanna (Arden) Mayer of Arvada, CO and Oliver Carlson of Florida. She is preceded in death by her husband; her parents and one sister: Gwendolyn Carlson.
