Kenneth Charles Kill, son of Michael and Lavina (Hickman) Kill, was born September 25, 1942 in Morris, Minnesota. He was baptized and confirmed at Assumption Catholic Church in Morris. Kenny grew up in the Alberta area, where he attended school and graduated from Alberta High School in 1960. In 1964, Kenny enlisted in the United States National Guard, where he served until 1970, when he received an honorable discharge. On July 8, 1967, he was united in marriage to Rosa Frass at Assumption Catholic Church in Morris. The couple lived in Morris where they raised their family. Kenny worked in construction all his life. He truly enjoyed everyone he worked with over the years.
Kenny enjoyed gardening and watching sports, especially the Minnesota Twins and the Minnesota Vikings. He especially enjoyed the time he spent with his family.
Kenny died on Tuesday, July 25, 2006 at his home in Morris, surrounded by his family. He lived to reach the age of 63 years.
He is survived by his wife: Rosa Kill of Morris; three daughters: Maria (Leo) Berlinger of Chokio, Sally (Ken) McNally of Morris and Stephanie Kill of Morris; five grandchildren: Jeni (Bruce) Albjerg, Josh (Kim) McNally, Amy Berlinger, Bree McNally and Billy McNally; two great-granddaughters: Annie and Emmy Albjerg; seven brothers and sisters: Larry (Vera) Kill of Morris; Loretta Ritter of Morris, Richard (Betty) Kill of Sun City, AZ, Mickey Jo (Georgia) Kill of Taylors, SC, James Kill of Rushmore, Donald (Janelle) Kill of Alberta and Judy (Dick) Lubenow of Morris; four step-brothers: Richard (Shirley) Foley of Shakopee, David (Addie) Foley of Inver Grove Heights, Charles (Carrie) Foley of Inver Grove Heights and Gary Foley of Inver Grove Heights; two step-sisters: Lorraine Brotherton of Hillsdale, IL and Dixie (Richard) Cliff of Rosemount; sister-in-law: Linda (Bruce) Merkel of Hutchinson; step sister-in-law: Romal Foley of Minneapolis; two aunts: Veronica Berger of Morris and Dorothy (Joe) Kill of Morris and many nieces and nephews and special friends: Ed and Georgia Manska. He was preceded in death by one infant son: Kenneth Michael Kill; his parents: Michael and Lavina; step-mother: Evangeline Kill; one brother: Eugene Kill; sister-in-law: Marie Kill; two step-brothers: Kenneth "Bud" Foley and James Foley; one step-sister: Shirley Foley Jessup and one nephew: Bradley Ritter.
Pallbearers for the service are: Doug Kill, Jerry Kill, Don Ritter, Jimmy Kill, Josh McNally and David Lubenow. Honorary pallbearers are all who called Kenny friend. Deb Mahoney will serve as organist for the service with Tom Horning serving as songleader. Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in charge of the arrangements.
