Lila Wink

Lila (Keuhn) Wink, daughter to the late Charles and Bessie Keuhn was born September 20, 1930 in Pembina , North Dakota . She moved to northern Minnesota and attended grade school at a country school near Greenbush , Minnesota . Lila moved to Thief River Falls with her parents where she graduated from Lincoln High School . After graduating, she attended cosmetology school in Fargo and later in Minneapolis . On September 16, 1950, she was united in marriage to Norman Wink. From this union seven children were born. The couple moved to Hancock where they lived for fifty-six years. After Norman passed away in 2006, Lila moved to the West Central Homes in Morris. She continued to live in Morris until the time of her death.






Lila was an active member of the First Congregational Church in Hancock. She was a member of the Hancock VFW Auxiliary for nearly fifty years serving as president for many years and later was a member of the Morris unit. She is a former member of the Red Cross where she served on the bloodmobile, a member of the Steven County Chapter of the American Cancer Society and a volunteer at the Stevens Community Medical Center . Lila enjoyed being with her friends, playing cards and putting puzzles together. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.





Lila died on Friday, January 15, 2010 at the St. Cloud Hospital having reached the age of 79 years.





She is survived by five children: Thomas Wink of Eden Valley, Colleen (Ron) Sulier of Halstead, KS, Steven (Sherry) Wink of Aitkin, Greg (Stella) Wink of Lakeville and Bryan (Kim) Wink of Alexandria; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother Kenneth Keuhn of Carlton; two sisters: Carol Johnson of Detroit Lakes and Frances Lange of Minneapolis. She was preceded in death by her husband; two children: Lynda Solomon and Dean Wink; her parents one brother: Keith Keuhn; three sisters: Beatrice Hutchinson, Christine Kenton and Genevieve Homstad.







Pallbearers for the service are Lila’s grandsons: Shawn Wink, Luke Wink, Benjamin Wink, Andrew Sulier, Tony Solomon, Nathan Solomon, Jeremy Wink and Eric Wink. Honorary pallbearers are Lila’s granddaughters: Carla Damm, Andrea Solomon Bohlig, Grace Wink and Brittany Wink. Carol Evink will serve as organist for the service with Roger Blair serving as soloist. Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in charge of the arrangements.
