The funeral for Lloyd Eugene Nohl of Mission, Texas will be held on Monday, December 15, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the Apostolic Christian Church near Morris, with the Apostolic Christian Church ministers officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris and on Monday one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be held at the Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery, Morris.

Lloyd Eugene Nohl, son of Henry and Anna (Joos) Nohl was born on December 13, 1938 in Morris, MN. He was united in marriage to Joyce Sauder on December 13, 1959 in West Bend, IA. While living in West Bend Lloyd worked for Mertz John Deere Implement. The couple was blessed with their first child in 1962. Shortly after, the family relocated to the Hancock area where they had their two sons and Lloyd began farming with his father. In 1976, they moved to Rio Grande Valley where they were able to make their family complete with two more daughters, and a home for 30 foster children throughout the years. Lloyd was a loyal and hardworking employee for Mission Paving for 28 years.

Lloyd was a devoted member of the Apostolic Christian Church. He enjoyed spending time with those near and dear to him and taking care of the world God blessed him with.

Lloyd passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at the Life Care Hospital in McAllen, Texas, having reached the age of 76 years.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce of Mission TX; five children: Sandi Garcia, McAllen, TX, Terry (Peggy), Hancock, MN, Lloyd (Sara), Duluth, MN, Julie (Jason) Kotek, Northfield, MN, Erika Nohl, Mission, TX; his twin sister, Lucille (Harland) Stueber, Burnsville, MN; one brother, David (Cheryl) Nohl, Morris, MN; seventeen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and the extended Sauder family. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Rose Schott; one brother-in-law, Terry Schott; one sister-in-law, Eileen Nohl and one great-granddaughter, Jasmine Elizabeth Norman.

Pallbearers for the service are: Joshua Nohl, Jacob Nohl, Travis Nohl, Jeremiah Garcia, Rogelio Garcia, and David Barrera. Music will be provided by the Apostolic Christian Church Choir. Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
