Louise Smith

Louise Ranae Smith, daughter of Laurel and Georgia (Harstad) Smith, was born March 10, 1949 in Morris, Minnesota, where she was baptized at Bethany Lutheran Church. She was confirmed in the Lutheran Church in Tooele, Utah. Louise began her schooling in Tacoma, WA and completed it in Tooele, Utah. In 1984, she returned to Morris and began working at the Stevens County DAC, where she held various jobs. She has remained in Morris until the time of her death.

Louise was a member of the Hosanna Worship Center in Morris. She enjoyed listening to music, reading, watching westerns and Christian programming on television. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Louise died on Friday, July 13, 2007 at the West Wind Village in Morris, having lived to reach the age of 58 years.

She is survived by her mother: Georgia Smith of Morris; one brother: Jerry (Kathleen) Smith of Pleasant Prairie, WI; two nieces: Melissa (Lance) Woods of Kenosha, WI and Paige Smith (fiancAC.: Carlos Esquivel); three great nieces and nephews: Nicole, Joseph and Ian Woods and several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father and one niece: Gail.

Pallbearers for the service are: Brian Harstad, Jason Harstad, Rodney Giese, Jeff Harstad, Daniel Helberg and Stanley Smith. Honorary pallbearers are all of Louise's friends and co-workers at the Stevens County DAC. Steve Dahlseng will serve as pianist for the service with Sheryl Woetzel serving as songleader. Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in charge of the arrangements.
