Lucille Ann DeBill, daughter of Harry and Clara (Cin) DeBill, was born July 2, 1915 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She grew up in Pepperton Township, where she attended School District #69. On April 12, 1934, she was united in marriage to E. C. “Buster” Roberts. Following their marriage, the couple lived in Alberta for a short time, before moving to Morris. Lucille worked at the Stevens County Memorial Hospital in housekeeping and Buster worked on the railroad. In later years, the couple owned and operated the Red Dot Café in Morris for 17 years. Lucille was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Morris. She enjoyed crocheting and sewing. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Lucille died on Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at the Stevens Community Medical Center in Morris, Minnesota, having lived to reach the age of 95 years.
She is survived by four children: Caroline Jensen of Longmont, CO, Marilyn (Mel) Foss of Young America, David (Shirley) Roberts of Waconia and Diane (Melvern) Solvie of Starbuck; 20 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; one daughter: Jeanette Wendt; one infant daughter; one grandson: Eric Roberts; one great-grandson: Benjamin Solvie; son-in-law: Rolland Wendt; her parents and three brothers.
Pallbearers for the service are Lucille’s grandsons: Bryan Jensen, Steven Jensen, Larry Jensen, Greg Foss, Cory Foss, Clyde Roberts, James Solvie, Dallen Wendt, Mark Wendt, Wayne Wendt and Philip Wendt. Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in charge of the arrangements.
