Memorial services for Margaret Siebrecht of Morris, Minnesota will be held Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at 10:30 am at St. Paula�(TM)s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Morris. Reverend Donald Main will be officiating. Visitation will be held Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at St. Paula�(TM)s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Morris from and one hour prior to the service at church on Tuesday.
Margaret Rosemount Mohr, daughter of Robert Herman and Elsie (Schlueter) Mohr was born on June 28, 1916 in Horton Township near Hancock, Minnesota. She was baptized at Zion Lutheran Church in Horton Township on July 13, 1916 by Pastor F. Pasche. She was confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church on May 26, 1929 by Pastor Restow.
She grew up in the area and attended school at District #20 rural school in Horton Township. After graduating, she wasna�(TM)t able to further her schooling because she was needed at home to help with family duties. She did housework for many neighbors and friends when they needed help.
She was married on June 4th 1941 to Marvin Siebrecht at Zion Lutheran Church by Pastor T Hilgendorf. The couple had two children, Richard and Phillip. They moved to Morris in 1941, where Marvin was employed until he went into the service. Margaret and Richard moved back to make their home with his parents. Marvin returned in 1945 and they then moved back to Morris, where Margaret worked various jobs. She also worked at Sears and Culligan Water as a secretary.
Margaret was a member of St. Paula�(TM)s Lutheran Church, where she was active with the Ladies Guild and church choir. She also taught Sunday school for 12 years. Margaret was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary. Her hobbies included being a good wife, mother, gardening, fishing and traveling.
She is survived by one son, Richard (Signe) Siebrecht of Starbuck; three grandchildren: Tim (fiancAC.: Amanda) Siebrecht of Brooklyn Park, Jennifer (Ric) Knight of Chicago, IL and Steve (Jennifer) Siebrecht of Andover; three great-grandchildren: Wyatt Siebrecht, Elyse Knight and Oliver Siebrecht; two brothers: Lloyd Mohr of Morris and Walter Mohr of Sierra Vista, AZ and six adopted daughters, Dorothy (Jim) Schneider of Alberta, Karen (Kevin) Zimmerman of Lino Lakes, Joyce (Phil) Gausman of Alberta, Beverly (Jeff) Berg of Brainerd, Donna (Scott) Eul of Chokio and Deloris (Pat) Daly of Morris. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband; son, Phillip who died in infancy in 1958; her parents; four brothers and one sister.
Honorary pallbearers are: Dorothy Schneider, Karen Zimmerman, Joyce Gausman, Beverly Berg, Donna Eul and Deloris Daly. Phyllis Joos will serve as organist for the service with Sharon Martin serving as soloist.
