The celebration of life service for Marilyn J Kaehler, of Morris, Minnesota will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris with Pastoral Intern Chris Richards officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Pedersen Funeral Home. Burial will be held at a later date at the Summit Cemetery, Morris.
Marilyn Jeanne Hill, daughter of Carl and Irene (Erickson) Hill was born on August 25, 1943 in Morris, Minnesota, where she grew up and attended school. She graduated from Morris High School in 1961. Marilyn was united in marriage to Harold Kaehler on January 6, 1962 at the First Lutheran Church in Morris. The couple made their home in Morris; Marilyn lived in Morris her entire life. Marilyn was employed by Morris Area Elementary School, beginning in 1970, she retired from MAES after 31 years.
Marilyn loved spending time in her yard and on her deck bird watching and listening to her wind chimes. She loved to feel the sun on her face! Marilyn enjoyed growing flowers; especially Christmas cactus and had a large collection of Santa and Christmas plates. Her greatest pride was her three granddaughters, who meant the world to her.
Marilyn died on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota. She was 71 years old.
Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Harold, Morris; two children, Lisa (Jan) Deile, Prior Lake, MN and Scott Kaehler, Moorpark, CA; three granddaughters, Kelsey Kaehler (Chase) Wirtz, Newport Beach, CA, Breanne Deile, Columbus, OH and Madison Deile, Prior Lake; two sisters, Joanne (Arven) Graff, Donnelly, MN and Darlene (Jack) Stubler, Forest Lake, MN; one brother, Ken (Delores) Hill, Montevideo, MN; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Noreen Kaehler of Morris, MN, Shirley (Richard) Foley of Shakopee, MN, Milfred Kaehler of Morris, Caroline Zentner of Petaluma, CA, Donald Kaehler of Sacramento, CA, Barbara Jean (Lin) Fritz of Lake Forest, CA, Kenneth Kaehler of Petaluma, CA and many nieces and nephews. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Alfred and Amelia Kaehler; brother, Gordon Hill; sisters-in-law: Laurie Kaehler, Ada Mae Sprouls, Shirley Kaehler and Janice Kaehler; brothers-in-law: G.A. Kaehler, Thilfred Kaehler, Sherwood Kaehler and Lew Zentner.
