Funeral services for Mark Knobloch of Morris, MN will be held Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Apostolic Christian Church, rural Morris, with the Apostolic Christian Ministers officiating. Visitation will be held Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris and for one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mark Alan Knobloch, son of Jack and Nancy (Fehr) Knobloch, was born in Phoenixville, PA on December 25, 1965. He went to school in Morris through the 8th grade, and in 1980 the family moved to Lamar, Missouri, where they lived for a year prior to moving to Galva, Illinois in 1981. There, he graduated from Galva High School in 1984. After moving back to Lamar, MO for a year, he moved back to his roots in Minnesota in 1986. Upon arriving back to Morris, his Uncle Lloyd and Aunt Diane welcomed him into their home as part of their family. Mark worked at both Town & Country and Superior, prior to full-time farming. After giving his life to Christ, he was baptized in January of 1989 in the Apostolic Christian Church and was united in marriage to Brenda Schmidgall on October 1, 1989. The couple made their home in rural Morris, where they made their living on crop farming and livestock. They were blessed with four children.
Mark had a heart of hospitality and loved to have people over for ribs. He enjoyed serving with Farm Bureau and West Central Cattlemen for a time, which many times included grilling. He enjoyed ice fishing, storytelling, loved music, and singing. Mark had a deep love and adoration for his family.
Mark died on Thursday, January 30, 2015 in Morris, having reached the age of 49 years.
He is survived by his wife: Brenda Knobloch of Morris; four children: Jeffrey Knobloch of Morris, Alyssa Knobloch of Leo, Indiana, Kevin Knobloch and Kelsy Knobloch both of Morris; his parents: Jack and Nancy Knobloch of Galva, Illinois; Two siblings, Rachel (Glen) Steiner of Lafayette, Minnesota, Brent (Michelle) Knobloch of Marengo, Illinois, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
