Mary Jean Wickum

Funeral services for Mary Jean "Jeanie" Wickum of Morris will be held Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home.  Burial to be at Riverside Cemetery in Breckenridge. 

Mary Jean Koslowsky was born December 20, 1937, in Glasgow, Montana to Martin and Viola (Thiessen) Koslowsky. She was raised and received her education in Montana, graduating from Lustre Academy in Lustre, Montana. Jeanie was united in marriage to Elton Wickum in Lustre, Montana, and then made their home in Williston, North Dakota; welcoming three children. Jeanie worked out of the home as a Certified Nursing Assistant with Home Health. After a few years, they moved to Sacramento, California, to be closer to other family members. While in California, Jeanie and Elton were divorced. Jeanie continued living in California. Not a fan of the Midwest weather, Jeanie made the move to Minnesota to help her son, Wendell, with his son, Chad. She remained there until the time of her passing.

Jeanie loved music, especially Elvis and his Gospel records. She enjoyed cooking, particularly ‘Irish Pork Chops’ for her sons. She also adored cats, mostly her black cat, Popsicle. 

Jeanie died peacefully on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at the West Wind Village in Morris, she was 86 years old.

Jeanie is survived by her daughter, Gail Bisho of Sacramento, CA; three grandchildren: Gabriel Bisho, Natasha Olson, and Chad Laurence; siblings: Gary (Chloe) Koslowsky of Anaheim, CA, Joanne (Gerald) Tofte of Kerkhoven, and Martin Koslowsky of Kerkhoven. She is preceded in death by her parents: Martin and Viola; sons: Lyndon and Wendell; sister: Carole; and brothers: Curt, Don, and Richard. 

Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in care of arrangements for Jeanie.
