Maurice was born on February 19, 1917 in Milwaukee, WI. To his family, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. To his community, he was a friend, a supporter, and a leader. To his church, he was a man of faith.
Maurice was preceded in death by his parents, August and Hilda Walline, his sisters Grace Norrgard and Marie Johnson, both of Cloquet, MN, and his beloved wife Ruth.
He is survived by his son Jim (Carol) of Dellwood, MN, daughter Judy (Marty) Oleson of Clear Lake, SD, grand-daughters Lisa (Tim) Coy of Maple Grove, MN and Betsy (Rick) Perez of Omaha, NE, grandsons Tim (Katherine) Oleson of Des Moines, WA and Chris Walline of Roseville, MN. Maurice also has three great-granddaughters, Hannah and Lauren Coy of Maple Grove, MN and Maura Perez of Omaha, NE.
Funeral services will be held for Maurice on Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Fron Lutheran Church in Starbuck, MN. There will also be a visitation one hour prior to the service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be held at Fron Lutheran Church cemetery immediately following the services. Pallbearers for the service are: Chris Walline, Tim Oleson, Tim Coy, Rick Perez, Bruce Norrgard and Ralph Norrgard. Honorary pallbearers are Starbuck Lions Club Members. Shari Opdahl will serve as organist for the service with Todd Brenden will serve as soloist.
