Funeral services for Mildred Goll of Hancock will be held Saturday, May 12, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Hancock Public School in Hancock, MN. Reverend Ginger Beck will be officiating. Visitation will be held Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris and for one hour prior to the services at the school on Saturday. Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park in Elgin, IL.

Mildred June (Sodt) Goll was born on June 17, 1917, in Elgin, Illinois to Frank and Bertha (Efflund) Sodt. She was baptized into the Lutheran faith at Evangelical Lutheran Reformed Church, Schaumberg, IL, at 3 months of age. She attended and graduated from Elgin High School in 1934 and attended the Ellis Business College in Elgin, IL. She married Henry (Hiny) John Goll on August 26, 1939 at 1st Congregational Church in Elgin, IL. Henry passed away on October 31, 1973 at the Stevens County Medical Center, Morris, MN. Millie is survived by her sister-in-law, Delores Christensen Sodt and nieces: Susan (Val) Varava, Sherry (John) Griffeth of Elgin, IL and nephews: Gary Sodt of Richey, MT, Tom (Kathy) Sodt of Melissa, TX, Jim Sodt, Michael (Bonnie) Sodt of Elgin, IL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hiny, her parents; her two brothers, William and Gordon Sodt, niece, Sally Sodt; great-great-nephew, Matthew Mavity and sister-in-law, Betty Sodt.

Mildred was a member of the 1st Congregational Church of Hancock, MN and had served in various offices of the Church and Womens' Fellowship there. She was active in the SCMC Auxiliary Morris, having served as Treasurer there for several years and also working the Gift Shop at SCMC. She also volunteered her time to the Red Cross. She had been employed as Secretary/Bookkeeper at the Hancock Public Schools from 1952-82.

Mildred died on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at the Courage Cottage in Morris, MN, having lived to reach the age of 94 years.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to the Courage Cottage in Morris and the Hancock School Foundation.

Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in charge of the arrangements.
