Milla Henriette Alm, daughter of John and Emma (Hexom) Alm, was born February 17, 1917 in Horace, North Dakota, where she was baptized in the Horace Lutheran Church. When Milla was eight years old her family moved to Donnelly, Minnesota, where she was confirmed in St. Johna�(TM)s Lutheran Church by Reverend Pilgrim. Milla attended and graduated from Morris High School in 1935. On October 10, 1937, she was united in marriage to Wayne LeSage at her parenta�(TM)s home in Donnelly by Reverend Fred Meske. To this union two daughters were born, Wanda and Diane.
Wayne and Milla were members of Faith Lutheran Church in Morris. Milla worked for several years at Lindrels Dime Store and at Bon Joa�(TM)s in Morris. Milla and Wayne owned and operated LaSage CafAC. in Morris for several years. Wayne died on June 25, 1995 and Milla has continued to make her home in Morris until the time of her death.
Milla was a charter member of the VFW Auxiliary, a member of the Morris American Legion Auxiliary and the Senior Citizens. She enjoyed playing cards, working cross word puzzles, playing bingo, dancing, bowling and watching the Minnesota Twins. She especially enjoyed the time she spent with her family.
She is survived by two daughters: Wanda LeSage of Phoenix, AZ and Diane (Gerald) Piittmann of Waukon, IA; nine grandchildren: Deb (Charlie) Hacker of Hancock, Sandy Wevley of Phoenix, AZ, Lynne (Rick) Juergensen of Eden Prairie, Cathy (Chris) Hoyme of Omaha, NE, Deedee Wevley of Morris, Julie (Phil) Verchata of Bemidji, Jamie (Lorena) Wevley of Phoenix, AZ, Jason (Jamie) Piittmann of Kewaskum, WI and Jill (Bill) Pooch of Kalona, IA; 19 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law: Marlys Alm of Morris and June Holck of Paulina, IA and one brother-in-law: Donald LaSage of Bellflower, CA and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; four brothers: Ernest, Perry, Carl and Parnel Alm; three sisters: Delia Ruff, Gladys Pederson and Lou Wilcox and two great-grandchildren: Christopher and Daniel Hoyme.
Pallbearers for the service are: Christopher Hacker, Andy Hacker, Chad Hoyme, Alex Juergensen, Jason Piittmann and Jamie Wevley. Honorary pallbearers are all who called her friend. Rita Lambert will serve as organist for the service with Bill Pooch serving as soloist. Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in charge of the arrangements.
