Minnie Charlotte Miller, was born in Hodges Township in Stevens County, Minnesota on December 3, 1908 to Labrecht and Anna (Schliep) Miller. She was baptized on December 18, 1908 by Reverend Kollmorgen in Hancock and was confirmed April 9, 1922 in Hancock by Reverend Henry Hoppe. She was married on February 14, 1929 in Fairfield Township to Emil Hoffman. They lived on a farm in Moore Township near Hancock until 1975, when they moved into Hancock.
Minnie was a member of St. John's Ladies Society and the Hancock Sr. Citizens. For a number of years she was a 4-H leader. She was also involved in a card club and the homemakers club.
She was preceded in death by her only child Duane in 1956; her husband: Emil in 1983 and one great-grandson. She is survived by her daughter-in-law: Beverly (Butch) Hoffman of Holloway; four grandchildren: Michael (Rosanne) Hoffman of Hancock, Bradley (Misty) Burns of Lexington, OK, Terri Jo (Charlie) Moore of Lexington, OK and Beven Burns of Lexington, OK; 18 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers for the service are: Minnie's great-grandchildren: Sarah and Jeremy Guhlke, Michelle and Jake Anderson, Corrine and Brian Bennett and Fawn and Aaron Krosch; Honorary pallbearers are Minnie's: great-children and great-great-grandchildren. Phyllis Joos will be serving as organist for the service. Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in charge of the arrangements.
