Memorial service for Olive Sebella Crabtree, of Morris, Minnesota will be held at a later date. Burial will be at Lakeside Cemetery, Hancock, Minnesota.
Olive Sebella Eliason, daughter of Oscar and Sebella Eliason was born on July 16, 1925 near Randall, Wisconsin; she was one of seven children. Olive graduated high school in 1943 from Grantsburg, Wisconsin. She was united in marriage to Gerald Crabtree of Hancock, Minnesota on August 21, 1953. The couple farmed near Hancock until Gerald's death in May of 1973.
Olive worked as the elementary school secretary for the Hancock School District until her move to Morris, Minnesota, where she took a job as a nursing assistant at the Morris Hospital. After her retirement, Olive continued to live in Morris and became a resident at the West Wind Village Nursing Home in Morris in December of 2006.
Olive died on Friday, November 28, 2014 at the West Wind Village. She was 89 years old.
She is survived by two daughters, Elayne Zahnow, ElPaso, TX and Kathleen (Don) Loomer, Williston, ND; five grandchildren, Michael Crabtree, Nick (Kasaundra) Hoffman, Danielle (Patrick) Taylor, Brandon (Leah) Hoffman and Alexis Loomer and five great-grandchildren. Olive was preceded in death by her husband, parents and five siblings.
