Funeral Services for Patricia Peterson of Hancock, MN will be held Saturday, May 31, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in Morris. Reverend Dell Sanderson will be officiating. Visitation will be held Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris and for one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday. Burial will be in Vinger Cemetery near Donnelly.
Patricia Kay Philiph, daughter of Delbert and Deloris (Lewis) Philiph, was born March 2, 1953 at her parent's home in Morris, Minnesota, where she grew up and was baptized on June 25, 1953 by Pastor J.G. Bongert and confirmed by Pastor Victor Schmidt on June 30, 1968 at Peace Lutheran Church in Morris. Pat attended Morris Area High School, graduating May 28, 1971. Following her schooling, Pat worked at Fingerhut before starting her own daycare. She also enjoyed working in the bakery at The Holiday grocery store and Inn Like Flinns. Even after her time spent in various jobs, she always loved her daycare. She loved anything that involved working with people. Pat was a caring and kind person to everyone she met. Pat made her home in Hancock, along with her daughters, Jennifer and Krissie.
Pat was a longtime member of Faith Lutheran Church in Morris. Pat enjoyed gambling, word puzzles, playing games with her family and socializing with people.
Pat died on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at her home in Hancock. She was 61 years old.
She is survived by her daughters: Jennifer (Eric) Rose of Morris and Krissie (Kyle) Rose of Hancock; five grandchildren: Dalton, Davin, Isabel, Dylan and Caden; mother: Deloris Philiph; and four sisters: Connie (Butch) Engler of Hancock, Wynne Philiph of Morris, Cindy (Rick) Thielke of Hancock and Mary Philiph of Morris; many nieces and nephews; her aunt: Ethel Holslin; and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her father: Delbert Philiph; several aunts and uncles including her uncle Bob Holslin, who always held a special place in her heart.
