Funeral services for Quinn Messner of Hancock, Minnesota, will be held Monday, August 22, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at the Apostolic Christian Faith Church, rural Hancock. The Apostolic Christian Faith Ministers will be officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris and for one hour prior to services at the church on Monday. Burial will be in the Apostolic Christian Faith Cemetery, rural Hancock.
Quinn Andrew Messner, son of Sidney and Cheryl (Wiegand) Messner, was born January 7, 1976, in Coon Rapids, Minnesota. At the age of two, his family moved to a farm north of Hancock, Minnesota. Quinn attended school in Hancock graduating from Hancock High School in 1994. Following graduation, Quinn attended college at South Dakota State University for one year before returning to Hancock, where he began working at Superior prior to working at Pro-Steel with the family business. Quinn became a member of the Apostolic Christian Church and was baptized July 14, 1996. He was united in marriage to Kristi Koehl on August 25, 2002. To this union eight children were born. The family made their home in rural Hancock. Quinn continued working for the family business until the time of his death.
Quinn was a member of the Apostolic Christian Faith Church. He enjoyed being outdoors, working with his hands, and most of all spending time with his family.
Quinn passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2022. He was 46 years old.
He is survived by his wife: Kristi Messner of Hancock; eight children: Dawn, Brandi, Trent, Troy, Isaac, Damon, Jacob and Amy Messner all of Hancock; his parents: Sid and Cheryl Messner of Hancock; his parents-in-law: Karl and Marilyn Koehl of Hancock; six siblings: Ryan (Heidi) Messner of Hancock, Joan (Ryan) Kellenberger of Hancock, Leah (Benji) Kellenberger of Steen, Alex (Myra) Messner of Hancock, Myra (Mike) Koehl of Hancock and Ken (Mindy) Messner of Hancock; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Thomas (Patricia) Koehl of Cyrus, Matthew (Katie) Koehl of Hancock, Blaine (Karen) Koehl of Hancock and Kari Koehl of Morris, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Frank and Gladys Messner and Simon and Mary Wiegand.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Apostolic Christian Faith Relief Fund or the Courage Cottage.
Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in charge of the arrangements.
