Richard Logan

Richard Steven Logan, son of Frank and Anna (Deutsch) Logan, was born June 8, 1914 in Donnelly, Minnesota, where he grew up and attended country school. Following his schooling, Richard lived on the farm with his parents, where he farmed and later was caregiver to his mom. Richard remained on the family farm until 1987, when he moved to Morris. In 2005, Richard moved to Sky View Court, where he made his home until a month ago, when he moved to West Wind Village in Morris.




Richard was a member of the Assumption Catholic Church in Morris, the Eagles and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed visiting and playing whist. He especially enjoyed traveling to Fergus Falls and the surrounding area with Jack Brown.




Richard died on Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at the Stevens Community Medical Center in Morris, Minnesota, having lived to reach the age of 94 years.




He is survived by one sister: Lucille Olson of Yuma, AZ; one brother: Sam (Ellie) Logan of Chokio and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister: Marie Selk and four brothers: William, Robert, Francis and Kenneth Logan.




Pallbearers for the service are: Bruce Goette, Fred Moser, Jim Logan, Dave Lembcke, Gary Lembcke and Jack Logan. Honorary pallbearers are: William “Fat” Braun and Jack Brown. Deb Mahoney will serve as pianist for the service with Holly Giese serving as song leader. Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in charge of the arrangements.
