Robin Burnett

Robin Jay Burnett, son of James and Ruth (Howard) Burnett, was born August 15, 1954 in Morris, Minnesota. He was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Alberta, Minnesota. He grew up in the Alberta area, where he attended school, graduating from Chokio-Alberta in 1972. Robin continued his education at Alexandria Technical College and Brainerd Technical College. Following his schooling, he moved back to the family farm near Alberta, where he raised rabbits, ran a greenhouse and helped his dad with the farming. Robin has continued to live on the family farm until the time of his death.



Robin was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Alberta and the Scott 4-H Club. He enjoyed gardening, where he proved to be a master gardener. He also liked reading and watching television. He especially enjoyed babysitting and playing with his nieces and nephews.



Robin died on Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at the Stevens Community Medical Center in Morris, MN, having lived to reach the age of 53 years.



He is survived by his father: James Burnett of Alberta; brother: George and Becky Burnett of Alberta; sister: Jean Magnuson of St. Croix Falls, WI; one niece: Sarah Burnett and six nephews: Sheldon and Julie Magnuson, Roger Magnuson, Nathan Burnett, Aaron and Melissa Burnett, Adam Burnett and Matthew Burnett. He was preceded in death by his mother; one sister: Renae and his grandparents: Minnie and Jay Howard and Zachariah and Dora Burnett.



Pallbearers for the service are: Sarah Burnett, Sheldon Magnuson, Roger Magnuson, Nathan Burnett, Aaron Burnett, Adam Burnett and Matthew Burnett. Honorary pallbearers are Robin's great nieces and nephews: Dylan Magnuson, Hunter Burnett, Taya Burnett, Kendra Wevley, Jacey Burnett, Hudson Burnett, Jocelyn Burnett and Isabella Burnett. Audrey Erickson will serve as organist for the service. Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in charge of the arrangements.
