Romilly Jean (Wilson) Cassida, 61, passed away December 6, 2006 at her home in Oak Harbor, WA, after a brief struggle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her mother: Nadine (Lundquist) Wilson; stepmother: Minnie (Stettner) Wilson; grandparents: Charles Wilson and Louise (Burmeister) Wilson. She is survived by her dad: Donald Wilson of Cleveland, TN; sister: Nancy Roles of Bloomington; brothers David & Marty Wilson of Renville and Orrin and Karen Wilson of Hancock and numerous nieces and nephews along with many friends.
Rom graduated from Hancock High School in 1962 as salutatorian of her class. She was awarded several scholarships and continued her education at the University of MN-Morris, graduating with distinction in 1966. She had a long successful career with Prudential, moving all over the country, working her way up to Vice President of realty investments.
An artist and sculptor, Rom was widely read and enjoyed lively discussions, landscaping and gardening, interesting travels and working on her home. Upon retirement Rom built her dream home on Whidbey Island where she has resided for the last 8 years. She will be missed by many friends and family.
