Memorial services for Ruthanne Murray of Chokio, Minnesota will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Pedersen Funeral Home Chapel in Morris, with Reverend Michael Peterson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the Pedersen Funeral Home.
Ruthanne A Murray, 75, of Chokio, MN, died peacefully in her home December 12, 2014, succumbing to a tough battle against cancer.
She was a long time employee and supporter of the Chokio – Alberta school system and surrounding communities. Her passion for working with and nurturing children spanned many generations. Her amazing generosity and compassion were also demonstrated through her love of animals. Many a stray or rescue was welcomed warmly into her home.
She is survived by several adult children and their spouses, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; 3 brothers; 1 sister; foreign exchange brothers and sisters and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents and 1 adult son, Scot.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Humane Society of America, and the ASPCA.
