Sean Michael Patrick Cady was born on March 18, 1978 in St. Cloud, Minnesota, the fifth child to Richard and Patricia (Kroening) Cady. Sean was baptized at Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Albany. At the age of six, Sean was diagnosed with an aging bone disorder. He was raised in Albany where he attended school until 1993, when the family moved to Donnelly, Minnesota. Sean was confirmed at St. Charles Catholic Church in Herman and continued his education at Morris Area High School, graduating with the class of 1997. Following graduation, Sean continued to live in Donnelly. He worked several jobs, including: helping paint with his dad, helping around the farm, cleaning at the Morris Theatre, paper routes, and his favorite, working at Joe’s Trucking in Albany. While there, Sean would help clean and wash the semis as well as being treated to semi rides, he was even able to choose the paint color for the semi “Phantom.” Sean continued to live on the farm in Donnelly until the time of his death.
Sean was a member of Assumption Catholic Church in Morris. He enjoyed woodburning, reading, watching the news, and coloring. Sean loved spending time with his nieces and nephews and had a way with animals; he loved his Siberian Husky, Layla and spending time with the horses at Julie’s house. He also liked to spend time at the race track and loved when he was able to go into the pits; Sean has a large collection of racing shirts that he has received from the drivers over the years. Sawyer Brown was also very special to Sean; he and his mother, Pat would travel to every concert in the three state area and they were even able to meet the band!
Sean died on Sunday, February 24, 2019 at the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis; he was 40 years old.
Sean is survived by his father, Richard of Donnelly; his four sisters: Julie (Joe) Kill of Donnelly, Michelle (Jeff) Nathe of Albany, Toni Cady of Aberdeen, SD and Kathy Cady of Aberdeen, SD.; nine nieces and nephews: David, Adam, Katelyn, Kira, Collin, Austin, Zachary, Shannon and Callista; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
