Sophia Ver Steeg

Memorial services for Sophia Christine Ver Steeg will be held Saturday, November 16, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Hancock Evangelical Free Church in Hancock. Reverend Pat Franey will be officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Hancock.

Sophia Christine Ver Steeg was born November 12, 2013, to Chad and Leah (Zierke) Ver Steeg of Hancock, MN. Sophia was dearly loved and treasured during her brief life - she left this earth to be with Jesus after forty precious minutes in her parents' arms. Weighing just 15.8 ounces, Sophia was perfect in beauty with tiny, delicate features resembling both her mommy and daddy.

Sophia joins her grandmother, Christine Ver Steeg, in heaven. Her family on earth misses and loves her: parents: Chad & Leah Ver Steeg; grandparents: Bennett & Wendy Zierke and Jerry & Carol Ver Steeg all of Hancock; uncles and aunts: Jamie (Jake) Shelley of Fargo, Keri (Michael) Abi-Saleh of Hancock, Kyle (Courtney) Zierke of Glenwood, Caleb, Ryan, Joel, and Jacob Zierke of Hancock, Scott (Jenny) Ver Steeg of Hancock, Jeff Ver Steeg (Nick Antone) of Eagle Bend, Brian (Jenny) Emmert of Morris, Angie (Jeremy) Pearson of St. Francis, Michelle (Kevin) Blair of Hancock; cousins: Joseph Abi-Saleh, Larken Zierke, Mila Ver Steeg, Isabelle and Katherine Emmert, Dale, Ashley, & Joshua Pearson, and Gavin Blair; great-grandparents: Orville & Darlene Koosmann of Hancock, Robert & Betty Zierke of Morris and Rose Nelson of Menahga, MN.
