Funeral services for Steven Lemmerman of Alberta, MN will be held Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Alberta, MN, with Reverend Minette Stalheim-Johnson officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris and for one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday. Burial will be in Frog Lake Cemetery, rural Alberta.
Steven Darrell Lemmerman, son of Ronnie and Sandy (Laager) Lemmerman was born February 23, 1962 in Morris, Minnesota. Steve grew up in Alberta, where he was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church. He attended Chokio-Alberta Schools, graduating in 1980. He continued his education at Moorhead Technical School for carpentry, graduating in 1982. Following his schooling, Steve began working for Genereaux Construction in Alberta. Steve was married to Julie Utech in 1985. To this union two children were born. The couple moved to the Minneapolis area, where Steve began working for Metal Matic and later for Northern Tool. He then worked for Toro Distributing as a fork lift operator. When Toro moved to Iowa in 2013, Steve moved back to Alberta and began working at Westmor Industries in Morris, where he has continued to work until the time of his death.
Steve enjoyed playing pool, hunting, fishing, playing cards and putting puzzles together. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Steve died on Monday, February 8, 2016 at the age of 53 at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, Minnesota.
He is survived by his daughter: Brittany Lemmerman of St. Cloud; his son: Tyler Lemmerman of Minneapolis; his parents: Ron and Sandy Lemmerman of Alberta; two sisters: Tammy (Roger) Kaiser of Atwater and Terri (Wayne) Picht of Chokio; three nieces; three nephews; five great-nieces and nephews and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; one uncle: David Laager and one aunt: Diane Boldenow.
