Funeral services for Tamera "Tammy" McNally of Morris will be held Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at Assumption Catholic Church in Morris. Father Tim Baltes will be officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. with a prayer services at 7:00 at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris and for one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Morris.
Tamera Jean McNally, daughter of Robert and Helen (Claassen) McNally was born on December 23, 1957 at Morris, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed in the catholic faith at the Assumption Catholic Church in Morris. Tammy graduated from Morris High School and attended the Stevens County DAC. She cherished her independence and living many years in the Divine Houses at Morris. Tammy entered the West Wind Village in July of 2010. She enjoyed Special Olympic swimming, attending the Northern Pines Camp, bowling, word finds, playing guitar, dancing and music. Tammy especially loved spending time and doing activities with her best friend Nancy Neal. She will be deeply missed by her family.
Tammy died on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Stevens Community Medical Center in Morris, MN, having lived to reach the age of 53 years.
She is survived by her mother: Helen McNally of Morris; four brothers: Mark (Debra) McNally of Morris, Thomas (Barb) McNally of Hector, Joel (Robyn) McNally of Morris and Kenneth (Sally) McNally of Morris; two sisters: Deborah (Clare) Anderson of Blaine and Ruth McNally of Minneapolis; two godchildren: Bree McNally and Christie Whitcomb; 22 nieces and nephews and 16 great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her father; one nephew: Andrew McNally and grandparents: William and Meta Claassen and Ray and Caroline McNally.
Pallbearers for the service are: Hannah McNally, Tyler McNally, Jake McNally, Bobbi Anderson, Billy McNally and John Luetmer. Honorary pallbearers are all of Tammy's special friends at the D.A.C. Darlene Hennen will serve as pianist for the service with Holly Giese serving as soloist. Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in charge of the arrangements.
