January 5, 2002 — September 1, 2017

The funeral for Taryn Dalain Paul, of Morris, Minnesota will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at the Morris Elementary School Concert Hall, with Reverend Dell Sanderson, Reverend Michael Hanson and Reverend Chris Richards officiating. Visitation will be on Friday at the Faith Lutheran Church in Morris from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, one hour prior to the service at the school.  Burial will be at Lakeside Cemetery, Hancock.

Taryn Dalain Paul, daughter of Jeff Paul and Tanya Estenson was born on January 5, 2002 at the Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. Arriving almost 8 weeks early, the nurses baptized her at the hospital the night she was born. Taryn was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Morris, where her baptism was reaffirmed on May 5, 2002. She also celebrated her first communion on April 7, 2013 and was confirmed on October 30, 2016 at Faith Lutheran.

Taryn attended Morris Area Elementary and Morris Area High School, where she would have started school this past week as a sophomore. She was a member of the student council, active in band, golf, volleyball and a member of the FCCLA. Taryn was an A Honor Roll student. She loved cheering on the Tigers at sporting events and hanging out with her friends.

Taryn had a true love for dance. In May she had her 13th spring recital with Footnotes Studio of Dance and had been on their competition teams since she was 6 years old. Tap dancing was her passion and she excelled at it, winning a grand champion title at nationals in 2016. In 2017, Taryn was honored with a distinguished leader award for her studio. She also danced jazz, lyrical, and loved the beauty and challenge of pointe ballet. Taryn had a special relationship with her teachers and fellow dancers.

Taryn had a love for children and her summer job at the Regional Fitness Center doing childcare was special for her. She also enjoyed being a classroom assistant for dance, liked babysitting, hanging out with her cousins and adored time with her little brother. She had a special bond with her grandparents. Her grandma’s taught her things like baking, sewing, needlepoint and card games. Her grandpa’s were the fun ones, taking her on pontoon rides, going to movies and doing Beanboozled challenges.

She was an only child for many years and was thrilled to finally have siblings. A little brother to help care for, a brother the same age to pick on, a super cool older brother and a sister that was also a best friend fulfilled Taryn’s family.

Taryn was the true light in her parents’ life, their baby girl. Her dad loved to take her camping at the lake and spend hours watching movies together. Her mother cherished their dance weekends, evening walks and girl talks. Taryn had a smile that would light up a room, a laugh that was contagious and a sweet, tender caring heart.

Taryn went to be with her Heavenly Father on Friday, September 1, 2017 after suffering injuries due to a motor vehicle accident. Taryn was surrounded by her family at the Hennepin Medical Center and gave new hope to families through organ donation.  She was 15 years old.

She is survived by her parents: Tanya (Matt Rinkenberger) Estenson and Jeff (Heidi) Paul, all of Hancock, MN; her siblings: Paden Rinkenberger, Michael Rouna, and Morgan Rouna, all of Hancock, MN and Mark (Marisa Haack) Pew, Alexandria, MN; her grandparents: Scott and Diane Estenson and David and Connie Paul, all of Morris, MN; her great-grandmother: Lila Estenson; her Godparents: Mike and Trish Paul, Hancock and Brenda and Alexandra Estenson, Moorhead; many aunts, uncles, cousins and her best friend, Nevaeh Anderson.
