Terry Marie Shekleton, daughter of John and Roxanne (Osterbauer) Shekleton, was born July 12, 1958 at the Swift County Benson Hospital in Benson. She grew up in Dublin Township in Murdock, MN and was baptized and confirmed at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Murdock. She began her schooling at the Murdock Grade School and graduated from Murdock High School in 1976. She continued her education at Willmar Area Vocational Technical Institute, where she completed a two-year agriculture business course. On October 18, 1983, she was united in marriage to Kevin Manney at the Federated Church in Morris. The couple made their home in the Morris area, where they raised their two daughters. Terry began working for the Morris Sun Tribune on June 29, 1982 as an Advertising Salesperson. She was also very involved with the Manney Auction Company, which she and Kevin owned and operated.
Terry was very involved with 4-H, where she was an instructor for the horse projects. She also enjoyed gardening, working in her fishpond and taking care of all the family pets. She especially enjoyed the time she spent with her family and friends.
Terry died on Friday, June 24, 2005 at the Stevens Community Medical Center in Morris, having lived to reach the age of 46 years.
She is survived by her husband: Kevin Manney of Morris; two daughters: Kelly Manney and her fiance: Justin Howe of Chokio and Erin Manney and her friend: Dan Seifert of Morris; her mother: Roxanne Shekleton of Murdock; four sisters: Susan Baumgartner of Montevideo, Julie (Jim) Harstad of Orono, Mary (Mark) Lesteberg of Kerkhoven and Tammy (Billy) Hornsby of Hot Springs, AR; one brother: Tim (Cheryl) Shekleton of New London Spicer; 18 nieces and nephews and her French bulldog: Pig. She was preceded in death by her father: John Shekleton and her dog: Sam.
Pallbearers for the service are: Rod Searle, Wally Schiele, Mark Lesteberg, Mark Heinze, Jerry Jorgenson and Randy Sutter. Honorary pallbearer is Jay Dietz. Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in charge of the arrangements.
