The memorial service for Theresa Ann Brosh, of Morris, Minnesota will be held on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the Assumption Catholic Church in Morris. Celebrant for the service will be Father Robert Kieffer. Visitation will be on Monday at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris from 5 to 7 p.m. with a rosary service at 6:30 p.m. Burial will be at the Calvary Cemetery, Wahpeton, North Dakota.
Theresa Ann (Nagl) Brosh, daughter of Joseph and Clara (Satzer) Nagl was born on October 15, 1929 in Morris, Minnesota. Theresa attended country school and later attended Morris High School, graduating in 1949. After high school, Theresa worked at the Morris Cafe. She was united in marriage to Edward Adolph Brosh on May 7, 1955. The couple lived in various cities in Minnesota and South Dakota before making Wahpeton, North Dakota home in 1964. Theresa was a homemaker until her husband's death in 1986, after which she obtained her first driver's license. Theresa worked for several years as a child care provider and at the Wahpeton Group Home. She moved to Morris, Minnesota in 1997 to help with the care of her mother, Clara. Until recently, Theresa was a volunteer at the West Wind Villa in Morris.
Theresa was a member of the Lay Carmelite Order. Lay Carmelites see in the prophet of Carmel a model for life spent testifying in deeds of love to God's presence in the world. Members commit themselves to "live in the spirit of Jesus Christ", according to the charism, traditions and spirit of Carmel under the authority of the Prior General of the Carmelite Order. Theresa will most be remembered for her caring and loving spirit. She was always available to lend a hand to her friends and family. She also enjoyed traveling to see holy sites and the last few years she only traveled to Idaho to be with family.
Theresa died on Friday, August 10, 2012 at her daughter's home in Boise, Idaho after a short illness with cancer. She was 82 years old.
Theresa is survived by two daughters, Connie (Quentin) Donabauer, St. Joseph, MN and Betty (Michael) Brosh-Schoenecker, Boise, Idaho; two brothers, George (Virene) Nagl, Morris, MN and Donald Nagl, Zimmerman, MN; three sisters, Margaret (Frank) Zahl, Park Rapids, MN, Helen (Jim) Schroeder, Aitkin, MN and Patty Slack, Minneapolis, MN. Theresa is preceded in death by her husband, parents and two sisters Dorothy Schuelke and Delores Schuetze.
