Veronica Eleanor Kruger, daughter of Daniel and Mary (Cota) Kruger, was born August 19, 1916 in Graceville, MN, where she grew up and received her schooling, graduating from St. Mary's Academy. On October 9, 1934, she was united in marriage to Marvin Wohlers at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Graceville, MN. Marvin and Veronica farmed at Dumont and later farmed at Barry, Graceville and Chokio. The couple retired in 1974 and moved to Donnelly. Marvin died on February 20, 1984. Veronica remained in Donnelly until 2005, when she moved to West Wind Village, where she has made her home since that time.
Veronica was a member of St. Theresia's Catholic Church in Donnelly, where she was a member of the ladies aid; she was also a member of the Senior Citizens, Homemakers and the Garden Club. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting, doing crafts, making dolls, baking wedding cakes, fishing, camping, playing games and cards. She especially enjoyed watching her kids and grandkids play ball. She was also a big fan of the Minnesota Twins and Minnesota Vikings.
Veronica died on Monday, July 17, 2006 at West Wind Village in Morris, MN, having lived to reach the age of 89 years.
She is survived by five sons: Melvin (Connie) Wohlers of Morris, Marlus (Donna) Wohlers of Madison, WI, Roger (Beverly) Wohlers of Madison, WI, Jerry (Donna) Wohlers of Lakeville and Kenny (Connie) Wohlers of Wendell; two daughters: Sharon (Robert) Melberg of Chokio and Donna (Clarence) Diedrich of Grand Forks, ND; 35 grandchildren; 72 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; one infant son; one son: David Wohlers; daughter: Joyce Kleindl; her parents and two brothers: Ray Kruger and George "Dutch" Kruger.

JoAnne Foley will serve as organist for the service with Tom Horning serving as soloist. Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in charge of the arrangements.
