Vila Schmidgall

May 17, 1929 — February 20, 2007

Vila Mae Zeltwanger, daughter of William and Lillian (Eisenman) Zeltwanger, was born May 17, 1929 in Hancock, MN, where she grew up on the family farm. She began her schooling in Hancock, graduating from Hancock High School in 1947. Following her schooling, Vila lived in Morris with her sister Ila and worked at Home Builders Company as a bookkeeper. On May 6, 1951, she was united in marriage to Floyd LeRoy Schmidgall at the Apostolic Christian Church near Morris. The couple has continued to be active members of the Apostolic Christian Church since that time. Following their marriage, Floyd and Vila lived in Hancock for a number of years. In 1957, they moved to Morris where they raised their family. In 1962, Floyd and Vila bought Johnson Drug Company, now known as City Center Drug. Vi always enjoyed working along side her husband for the many years that they ran their business together. They sold City Center Drug in January 2005 and have continued to live in Morris since that time.
