Funeral services for Violet Ronnie of Starbuck will be held Saturday, July 14, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Starbuck, MN. Reverend John R. Smith will be officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, rural Starbuck.
Violet June Ronnie, daughter of Olando and Lena (Mickelson) Ronnie, was born June 26, 1927 in Starbuck, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church and remained a member her entire life. Violet attended School District #11 and whiling attending school, she helped her parents on the farm. When her parents sold the farm and moved to Starbuck, Violet moved with them to help care for them. Violet enjoyed upholstering and sewing. After Violet moved to the Golden Living Center Meadow Lane in Benson, Minnesota, she would enjoy playing bingo with the other residents.
Violet died on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, Minnesota. She lived to reach the age of 85 years.
She is survived by many cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Elliott.
Pallbearers for the service will be Violet's entire family. Dee Syverson will serve as organist for the service. Starbuck Funeral Home in Starbuck is in charge of the arrangements.
