Wade Eric Crummie, son of James and Anna (Quick) Crummie, was born February 9, 1967 in Creston, Iowa. When he was two years old, his family moved to Adams County, Ohio, where Wade grew up and received his schooling. Wade later worked for Kroger Grocery Stores for a few years and then had a business installing satellite dishes. Eventually he began working as a carpenter, which he continued to do until the time of his death. Since 2002, Wade has worked and lived in the Morris and Donnelly, MN areas, where he was able to be near his family.
Wade was a very talented person who could teach himself to do just about anything. He could work on cars; do electrical and plumbing work; he did many roofing jobs in the area and he would even take computers apart and fix them. His greatest skill, though, was his ability to bond with and take care of his family, and he was always ready and willing to help anyone who was in need. Wade will especially be missed by Austin, Jacob and Andrew who always called Wade “daddy”.
Wade died suddenly on Sunday, August 22, 2010 at Bethesda Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota, following surgery and rehab for a brain tumor. He had lived to reach the age of 43 years.
He is survived by his parents: James & Anna Crummie of Donnelly, MN; two brothers: Michael (Rita) Crummie of Manchester, OH and Nicholas (Brandi) Crummie of Pine Knot, KY; four sisters: Mary (Barry) Tadlock of Cincinnati, OH, Dianna Crummie of Oaklyn, NJ, Margaret (Clay) Rundquist of Morris, MN and Nicole (Tom) Smith of Ft. Thomas, KY, along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, James Anthony Crummie.
Pallbearers for the service are: Michael Crummie, Nicholas Crummie, Jacob Cobb, Andrew Cobb, Gary Goulette, Clay Rundquist. Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in charge of the arrangements.
