Funeral services for William “Bill” Moser of Morris, will be on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at the Morris Apostolic Christian Church, rural Morris. Visitation will be Monday, April 24 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris and Tuesday one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
William Noah Moser was the eighth of nine children born to Joseph and Rosina Moser. Bill was born on November 2, 1928, in Stevens County Minnesota. Bill was baptized in 1951 and became a member of the Apostolic Christian Church of Morris, Minnesota.
After completing 8th grade, Bill continued farming with family until drafted into the U.S. Army in 1953. Bill served in the U.S. Army from 1953 – 1955 during the end of the Korean Conflict. It was during this time he spent many weekends in Rockville, CT and Croghan, NY. Many friendships were made while attending the Apostolic Christian Churches in those areas.
Bill was united in marriage to Jeanette “Joyce” Gleichman from Harper, Kansas on September 23, 1956. They were married for sixty-six years. Following their marriage, they farmed in Stevens County, Minnesota until he retired in 1990. He enjoyed helping on the farm until age 88 when he devoted his full attention to care for his wife.
Bill and Joyce enjoyed traveling, fishing, and spending time with family. Many of these travels were between California and Florida during the harsh Minnesota winters. Deep sea fishing on these trips was a highlight. He could fish in the middle of a snowstorm or during rain or shine.
Bill passed away at the Courage Cottage in Morris, Minnesota on April 22, 2023, at the age of 94 years old. A few hours after Bill’s death, great grand-daughter Everly Joy Moser was born.
Bill is survived by his wife Joyce of Morris; three sons: Sam (Ruth) Moser of Eureka, Illinois, Lowell (Karen) Moser of Morris, Minnesota, Fred (Tammy) Moser of Morris, Minnesota; one daughter: Jeanette Moser of Grinnell, Iowa; six grandchildren: Justin (Cydni) Moser of Scottsdale, Arizona, Jared (Lacey) Moser of Morris, Minnesota, Travis (Rita) Moser of Morris, Minnesota, Rachel (Travis) Kloehn of Alexandria, Minnesota, Ethan Moser of Eureka, Illinois and Wyatt Moser of Flushing, Michigan and nine great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Joseph and Rosina Moser; four brothers: Nathan (Florence) Moser, Joe “JB” (Hazel) Moser, Chris (Marion) Moser, and Alphai (Pearl) Moser and four sisters: Liz (Emil) Wulf, Emma (Noah) Gerber, Martha (Earnest) Feucht, and Minnie (Earl) Kussatz.
In lieu of flowers and memorial trees the family requests memorials go to the Courage Cottage in Morris, MN
Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in charge of the arrangements for Bill.
